I try to keep MySurfVideos on topic, sticking with actual surfing videos: surfboard, waves, bathing suit… But on occasion I drift off course discovering “alternative surfing” videos (as I like to refer to them). This really is a touching story.

The stunt man, a German known as “the trainrider”, was diagnosed with leukemia, and the last year of his life was spent surfing on trains. Amongst the trains he surfed was Germany’s ICE train, with a top speed of 330 km/h. I rode that train from Berlin to Munich, and let me tell you if was fast! Simply… wow…..

Redneck mud surfing video

After posting a previous entry titled Redneck surfing I received a comment highlighting another redneck surfing video. I would post and link to the comment left by the nice gentleman, though, he did not speak gentleman-like enough for me to post his thoughts. But thank you Nathan for the comment and all, please continue to send me your surfing videos.

This mud surfing redneck tears it up in the woods on a tire being pulled by an ATV. I love the random objects used to surf. Great video! Short, sweet, and to the point!

Redneck Surfing

It’s easy to forget that not everyone in Florida lives on or walking distance to the beach; a number of Florida residents are landlocked and must entertain themselves other ways… or prepare for those few trips a year to the beach… This is where one of Florida’s numerous lakes, spread across the state, come in handy.

The youngster in the video above, is body surfing in a small lake in Pace, Florida. The fact that he’s being pulled by a truck explains why I found this video on Youtube titled “Redneck Surfing”.

But when the lakes are not large enough, nor extreme enough, some brave souls risk it all on the streets of their small-town neighborhoods.

Finally, we come to the extremists who love the notion of surfing and have surfing in their blood… but do not actually own a surfboard. This is where creativity (or stupidity) comes into play. The fine rednecks, (I mean gentlemen) below demonstrate that a couch can serve many purposes.
