Something to cherish for years to come

Uncategorized No Comments

With Mother’s Day coming up, I decided to go online today and check out possible gifts I would enjoy giving my Mother. Now that I am on my own and supporting myself I decided to get her something meaningful that would last a lifetime. It was important for me to find a gift that not only suited her interests but also her style.

I narrowed my search down to jewelry-feeling positive that she would be pleased with the gift I selected. I came across a fairly new website, ice.com. I was impressed by their gorgeous selection of jewelry as well as unbeatable discounts, money back guarantee, and monthly payment options.

I ended my search when I cam across a 1 carat Princess Cut Diamond ring. Wow this ring is beautiful. I can’t wait to see it in person. Although it was a little more I expected to spend, it was on sale. Along with getting it on sale and receiving free shipping, I found a great ice.com coupon. I received 20% my entire purchase!

Not only do I have an outstanding ring that I can’t wait to hand to my Mother, I saved a heap of money and now I am able to take her out to dinner as well. :)

High Hopes for a Low Time

Uncategorized No Comments

I got laid off. I don’t have a girlfriend. I’m tight on cash. I’m lost.

Today I went online and decided to research online dating. I need to find someone to help me through this hard time; hopefully it’s someone that I can spend the remainder of my life with. Who knows? I read some user testimonials and sure enough, I think I found a site that will be able to assist me in filling the void I currently have in my life. With my current financial situation, I wanted to go through and find a great deal online that I could use towards one of these dating sites. I found this eHarmony code that got me a free month.

My hopes are higher than they were going into this. Wish me luck.

Valentine’s gifts for roommates

Uncategorized No Comments

I’m a college student. I’m broke. I do however love giving gifts. My room mate is in the same position, however, he wears contacts and I don’t. He is so frugal that he started only wearing one contact instead of two in order to save money! While it tends to be the inside joke amongst our household, I know this can lead to long term eye damage. So being the joke that I am, I decided to purchase him a set of contacts for Valentine’s Day.

As most these days, I am an online shopper. I did my research and after reading reviews I decided to make a purchase on 1800contacts.com. Now, not only will our household be able to joke about how he use to wear only one contact but also how I purchased him a new pair for Valentine’s day as a joke! ha

Oh ya and by the way, I came across some contacts coupon codes that are super easy to use. You can find them here. Happy Valentine’s Day, and remember, choose contacts or roses! Ha!

Too cold to surf

Uncategorized No Comments

Winter has finally arrived out here in the Bay Area. Since this is only my first year out here, I can only go on the account of others, but from what I’m told, this is a late start to winter, as well as a dry winter. By now it should be raining frequently and there should be snow up in the Sierras.

I, without thinking, did not even ponder the idea of winter in California that I did not pack a winter coat. I mean, for East coasters, who thought it got cold in California except for inland, like Tahoe, Yosemite, and other mountainous areas.

I hate shopping. I never seem to like anything and have the hardest time choosing something. It takes me at least 2-3 times to the mall to actually buy an item. This drives my girlfriend mad. We went to the mall on Market and 4th the other day and after going through J.Crew, Banana Republic, the GAP, and Nordstrom, I had had enough. A few prospects but no purchases. I just couldn’t see myself spending that much on an article of clothing.

Yesterday, after fighting the cold the past few days, a package arrived at my office. Upon opening it, I recognized it was the coat I had seen from the GAP. I could not believe my girlfriend had spent that much money on something for me, let alone a coat. But she assured me she found a gap discount online which made it reasonable in price.

I’m excited as today is the first day that I wore the coat and thank goodness I had it. It is only about 40 degrees today and the wind from the bay is chilly. Anyways, stay warm all and have a great holiday season.

Surfing with contacts

Uncategorized No Comments

I had always purchased my contacts through my eye doctor. It was pretty routine. I went in for an annual checkup, got my new prescription, and he took care of the rest. He’d give me a sample pair to hold me over till my order of lenses were delivered.  I never felt comfortable using an online service like 1 800 contacts or Vision Direct.

As a surfer, I must run through contacts like crazy. I refuse to wear goggles. Since my eyesight is terribly poor, I must wear my lenses. I’d say it’s quiet standard I lose a pair or two every surfing outing. For those of you who don’t wear contacts that might sound like a lot. But in a month if I go through 5-6 pairs it adds up. 6 pairs should last me 12 weeks, roughly 3 months. But that’s an expensive I’ve (sort of) baked into my expenses.

I’d say about a month ago I found out the savings I’d get if I used 1 800 contacts. The uncertainty about an online service went right out the window.  I even searched the web and was able to find a 1800 contacts coupon that saved me even more money and provided free shipping. I reckon over the year, I’ll have saved just about enough for a new longboard.  The contacts are the same and I’ve had no trouble with them. I highly recommend using them.

Surfing the coast on a budget

Uncategorized No Comments

I have now been living in San Francisco for the past few months. Parking in my neighborhood is $300 per month. As a result, I had to give up my P.O.S. car. Though I am able to take a bus to Ocean Beach, which is in the city for those unfamiliar with SF, my longboard doesn’t go well with the bus drivers.

I looked into CityShare and ZipCar, but the demand is so high in the city and the locations by my place only have compact cars in stock. Walking down near the Wharf, I stumbled upon Budget Rent A Car. I thought I’d go in and check out their prices. After speaking with a representative, suprisingly attractive, I felt the prices were a little out of my reach. She let me know that if I went online and searched for coupons, that I’d come across a handful of Budget coupons. She was right.

I stumbled upon a coupon site that had a few coupons for Budget’s rental cars, bookmarked it, and have been using it roughly every other weekend to save some dough. For all of you surfers and non-surfers, if you don’t own a car, I suggest you use these rental car coupons and save money.

My new addiction: domaining

Uncategorized No Comments

After buying mysurfvideos.com, I was enticed to purchase a few more domains under niche topics that were interesting to me. I knew if I wanted to have an online presence, it wasn’t going to be in a general, broad category, in which I was an amateur at best concerning knowledge. And, since I am just one person and not a network, fighting for traffic and attention with major media networks was not a fight I wanted to ensue.

After doing plenty of research, reading domainers’ blogs, and checking a few books about domain names, domain registration, developing web properties, and monetizing, I decided I was ready to purchase a few domain names. After searching GoDaddy for endless hours, I came across a few domain names in which I purchased and parked. My day job prohibits me, for the time being, to develop more than a few at a time.

Why I titled this entry “my addiction” is because after the first week, I had purchased 15 domain names, the second week another ten, and now, a few months down the road have about 30 to my name. A few hundred dollars later, I realized I had plenty of domains to develop for the next year. Luckily, after reading through Go Daddy, I discovered I could park these domains, where I could collect advertising revenue.

This, in addition to coming across domain coupons I was able to get a discount on domain registration. Since I only buy .com domains, their $7.49 coupon deal really adds up when you start hitting double digit domain purchases. Also, the 10% off any order is great for larger purchases. So whether you are big time, or just playing around for fun on the web, I recommend checking out GoDaddy for all, if not most, of your needs.

Aloha, Fellow Surfer Enthusiasts!

Uncategorized No Comments

Aloha! My name is Justin and this is my blog “My Surf Videos”. I am a grom having grown up on the east coast. Having spent my summers down the Jersey Shore, I was able to learn the fundamentals of surfing. By no means am I a “Barney”, or us east coasters say “Benny”; I’ve had a chance to tear it up in Maui and Kauai. Now living in Nor Cal, I’ve tasted the waves in and around Bolinas/Stinson Beach: my new stomping grounds.

The one thing I will never get tired of is watching surfing videos. I can spend a whole day watching surfing videos (usually accompanied by a six pack or two). I just become mesmerized with the waves and the ease at which a surfer rides them. And who can forget about surfing movies - who can’t watch “Endless Summer” over and over and over again? So, I’ll be posting surfing videos from all over the web and trying to get the latest surfing videos from upcoming competitions. And YES, ladies soon enough you will see videos of Kelly Slater.

That’s enough for now, but I encourage all you to submit your surfing videos by leaving a comment. Let’s make this into a milfy site!
