Hey all, it’s been a few months since my last post. I’ve been travelling around the country visiting old college buddies and since I was hundreds of miles away from the ocean, I was not in the mentality to write about one of my biggest passions: surfing. It was just too depressing.

Therefore, I thought the best way to resuscitate MySurfvideos.com was to start on a funny and humorous note. Surfing the web, I came across a great surfing wipeouts video. You can’t help but laugh and howl at these monstrous and powerful, big waves that crash down on the surfers in the video.

Enjoy!

I am in one of those moods today where nothing can motivate me, nor please me. It’s strange, as it’s a beautiful day out in San Francisco and I had a great night sleep, but for some reason, I am very grouchy. If only my boss knew I haven’t done 15 min. of work since getting here at 8am (hehe!). Even seeing surfers making waves is not doing it for me… EXCEPT… WIPEOUTS!! It’s not all funny, as surfers can and do get really hurt, but for some reason I’m able to get a rise out of it. Cringing here while online is restoring my energy and keeping the blood flowing through my veins.

[youtube Vj9E_VMnYeQ Surfing Wipeouts from Hawaii]

I’m like a little kid who gets a rise out of his elder hitting himself on the head or falling over. The above video is some really intense wipeouts from this past surf season in Hawaii . The swells of Hawaii, some of the biggest in the world, can be destructive to surfers and their surfboards. With waves reaching heights of 25ft. plus, anyone less than an expert would be committing suicide trying to ride these waves.

Here’s another great compiliation of the best giant surfing wipeouts. It’s ridiculous how tall these waves. The surfers are specks on these giant waves!

[youtube feRU0RlOWms Giant surfing wipeouts]

As an average surfer, it’s comforting to know that even the pros get pitched. Obviously they’re ripping it up on the waves, making tube rides look like a stroll through the park. But to know that no matter how great of a surfer you are, a legend of surf, whoever, the waves are the controlling force. Watch this gnarly surfing wipeout video at the Sandspit with surfing pros Kelly Slater, Bobby Martinez, Dane Reynolds, Tom Curren, Brandon Smith, and Trevor Gordon.

The Sandspit located in the Santa Barbara Harbor is known for their “swells that are insanely hollow, ass-flyin’ rights that can either peel on and on or dump squarely onto your back, depositing you straight into the oh-so-shallow bottom.”
